Solidarity with workers affected by repression in the large company BioSabor

We follow and share (slightly modified) a call from @interbrigadas and show solidarity with workers in the largest organic company ‘BioSabor’, which the company wants to get rid of in a perfidious way.

What is BioSabor?

BioSabor is a Spanish company specialising in the cultivation of organic vegetable products. With over 300 hectares of greenhouse production. People in Germany can also buy tomatoes, courgettes and aubergines from these greenhouses in the usual supermarkets. BioSabor presents itself as sustainable and a role model in the organic sector.

What is happening right now?

BioSabor wants to get rid of a large part of the workforce, as this is in breach of current labour law. The company is pursuing a malicious strategy. From the usual violations of labour and health law, attempts at intimidation and defamation, nepotism and the prevention of trade union activities, the strategy is now to ‘sell’ the plants in order to get rid of the workforce.

Delegates from the SOC-SAT grassroots union reported on these conditions.

Wir sind wütend! Wir sprechen unsere vollste Solidarität mit den Arbeiter*innen aus. Die @interbrigadas haben einen Handlungsoptionenbereitgestellt, wie ihr den Kampf aktuell unterstützen könnt:

  • you can comment in the social media comment columns at BioSabor, Rewe, Kaufland, Lidl and Aldi
  • send @interbrigadas a solo photo or video, which we can forward directly to our comrades
  • you can write emails to organic certification bodies and complain and demand a statement and inspection of the company
  • you can write emails to supermarkets and complain and demand a statement and control of the company
  • you can write emails directly to BioSabor or call them
  • talk about it with your friends, family and people in your neighbourhood and make people in supermarkets aware of it
