Disrupt. Food System. Action Days.

Infos zum Camp

From October 9 to 13, there will be various protests in and around Bremen. Part of this is the Camp for Agricultural Change in Bremen.

Camp Ort: Neustadtswallanlagen (nördlich der Straße Neustadtscontrescarpe).

The camp will be a place to exchange ideas, network, and discuss topics like farming, climate justice, animal feed imports, the animal industry, neo-colonial exploitation, and the planned „Weservertiefung“ (deepening the river Weser). For that we are organizing a program with workshops, lectures, and a cultural program to share knowledge and ideas, develop common perspectives, and prepare for planned actions.

Until October 13, you can sleep in the camp with your own tent, and we will provide the necessary infrastructure with food options, restrooms, event tents, and much more.

Build-up and Build-down

We're building something together – an entire camp: Up and down! Whether you're an experienced volunteer or a first-timer, every bit of help counts. Setup begins on October 6, 2025, and teardown begins on October 12, 2025, and will continue until October 16, 2025. During the setup and takedown periods, there will be a daily meeting to assign tasks. Bring a little time, a good mood, and the desire to work with us. We'll explain everything on site—just come by and get started!

Awareness

Awareness aims to draw attention to discrimination, support those affected, and offer opportunities to empower and reflect on each other. Even in self-organized political groups that work to challenge authority, we do not operate outside of social conditions and can unconsciously reproduce discrimination—awareness concerns us all!

To ensure that everyone feels as comfortable and safe as possible at the climate camp, there is an awareness team and concept (available in the information and awareness tent). We hope that you will engage with the suggestions in the awareness concept and implement them. As we are in a continuous learning process, we are very grateful for your feedback!

Barrieren und Schlafplätze

We're delighted that you want to join us at camp! Use this form to let us know which barriers might be relevant to you and how we can support you so that you can enjoy a pleasant and safe camp experience: here.

We cannot completely remove all barriers, but we do our best to make the camp as accessible as possible.

Alternative sleeping arrangements: If it is not possible for you to sleep at the camp, there will be a small sleeping arrangement exchange. Please register for this using the bed exchange tool. If necessary, you can also contact us via bettenboerse-bremen@systemli.org.

Money & donations

The camp is funded by donations and camp fees. Camp fees can be paid at the information tent. The amount can also be transferred to the donation account. The guideline amount for accommodation and vegan meals is 5 to 10 euros per day. The idea is that everyone contributes according to their financial situation. One thing is certain: money should never be a barrier to participation. Every contribution helps us. Thank you very much for your support!

Care Time

As you can see, we've left a little time between breakfast and the “info of the day.” Use this time to get yourself and the camp ready for the day ahead. Feel free to check the shift schedule at the info point.
Between 9:30 and 10 a.m. is care time <3

Translation

Most of the workshops will be held in German, with a few in English/Spanish (see program). Our goal is to have all workshops and plenary sessions whispered interpreted into English and German and, if necessary, into other languages. This will be organized by the participants themselves. The speakers will address this at the beginning.

We will translate large events such as panel discussions into German, Spanish, and English using microphones and headphones. If you require other languages, please let us know in advance or organize your own whisper interpreters.

First aid & emergencies

We will work with you to ensure that the camp runs safely.

If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, please check before arrival that you have the necessary medication/supplies with you and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Food and Drinks

All camp participants and guests will be fed by us (included in the camp fee). Some people already have experience cooking for large groups. However, you can always ask the kitchen staff how you can help. For ecological and political reasons, we do not use animal products. Help is needed in the kitchen for chopping and washing up (sign up for a shift!). PLEASE NOTE: After cleaning the toilets or if you have a contagious illness, you are not allowed to help in the kitchen for 3 days! Please disinfect your washed, dry hands before serving food and remind your neighbors to do the same.

If you suffer from food allergies or other intolerances, please fill out this form: form . We will then try to find an alternative for you. Unfortunately, we must be transparent that trace-free cooking is not possible at the camp and that we will not be able to cover all allergies with our capacities.

Drinks are available at the camp's own convenience store/kiosk in exchange for a donation.

In addition to the Küfa, there will also be a few independent food stalls. Since these people are traveling here specifically to provide us with delicious food, there are additional donation recommendations here.

“Information of the day”/ Announcements Exchange rooms

From 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. every day, there will be an announcement room at the circus tent, to which everyone is warmly invited. If you have a topic you would like to invite people to discuss with you, you can announce it there. At the same time, the most important information of the day for camp participants will be provided.

This is the only place where we can talk to each other in a large group and find support for camp activities. So please feel free to drop by!

Infection control/hygiene

Even though the coronavirus measures are not as strict as in previous years, it is still important to protect each other. We therefore ask you to avoid contact with other people if you have symptoms of a potentially contagious illness and to be mindful of the ways in which the virus can be transmitted via shared infrastructure. FFP2 masks will also be available at the information point. Please be considerate of the wishes of those around you.

The following applies to EVERYONE: Wash and disinfect your hands regularly and observe the hygiene instructions posted.

Fire

Bitte entzündet kein eigenes Feuer.

Photos, Film & Press

We believe it is important to handle video and photography sensitively in order to create a trusting atmosphere at the camp. Specifically, this means that whenever you take out your video or photo camera, you must inform all people who will be recognizable in the images beforehand and ask for their permission. This also applies explicitly to the press. Please contact the Media or Awareness Working Group if you feel uncomfortable.

Dogs

Please travel without your dog, if possible. We have limited space, and it is difficult for people who are afraid of dogs to avoid them. Unfortunately, dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the entire area. If this is not acceptable for your dog, please leave him at home.

Infottent

The information tent is your first port of call. Here you will find information about the camp, the grounds, the program, lots of stickers and information material, as well as the cash desk for the camp fee.

Internet and Electricity

The camp will mainly be powered by solar energy. We will try to keep our consumption of electricity from the grid as low as possible and make it as environmentally friendly as possible. There will likely be an internet connection in some areas of the camp. As with electricity, this will only be available to a limited extent, with camp operations taking priority. Cell phones and similar devices can be charged at the information point.

Kids and young people

Children and young people are very welcome at the camp. We try to find accompanying persons for the workshop times via the shift schedule. (Sign up for the shift schedule!) Legal responsibility remains with the parents or guardians.

Noise

Considerate coexistence on the camp grounds and with the neighborhood is important to us. Therefore, there is a quiet time from 10:00 p.m. on Friday (hopefully) from 1:00 a.m. . Please be mindful of the sleep needs of other camp participants and residents.

Support

The camp only works if everyone participates!

We ask that you exercise sensitivity when consuming any drugs. Please be aware that public consumption can exclude and endanger other people. So please make sure that your consumption of (e-)cigarettes, alcohol, or other mind-altering substances is acceptable to the people in your immediate vicinity. We generally ask that no chemical drugs be consumed at the camp.

Sanitary facilities

There are dry toilets, squat and standing urinals, and showers on the campsite. Please observe the separation of drinking water points and washbasins.

Please use water sparingly and only use biodegradable soaps and shampoos. When using the dry toilets, please follow the instructions. The toilets are cleaned together (sign up for a shift!).

Security

There will be a security concept and contact persons.

In order for the safety concept to work at all, we absolutely need your cooperation, e.g. in night watches. You can find out when, where, and how at the information tent. In the event of weather events such as storms, heavy rain, etc., we ask you to remain calm. In urgent cases, we will come together in a spontaneous plenary session and discuss how to proceed.

Looking forward to see you!
