Disrupt. Food System. Action Days.

Information about actions

We take to the streets with a variety of actions and fight for fair agriculture and good food for everyone and with everyone! You can decide for yourself which form of action suits you best: whether it's a protest bike tour from Bremen to Brake and a harbor tour through Germany's largest feed import port. Whether it's a large joint action or a small group action initiated by you. Whether it's an alliance demonstration through Bremen or discussions about agricultural reform. Whether you participate in the program or help out at the camp. Everything contributes to making the action days powerful.

The main day of action is Friday, October 10.
On Thursday, October 9, you can prepare yourself with action training and finding a reference group. Or clarify any final legal questions. If you want to take action on Friday, be sure to come to the action plenary on Thursday at 8 p.m. Information about the action sticker will be available here shortly.

Prepare well for the actions. We have put together some information for you here.

Consensus for action

Consensus for action

The action consensus is our common framework for the days of action. It is intended to provide guidance and create certainty. Anyone who can relate to it is invited to become part of the Disrupt Food System actions.

Disrupt Food System - October 2025

From October 9 to 13, 2025, we want to resist agribusiness capitalism in the greater Bremen area with a camp and a variety of activities. At the same time, we want to work together to highlight ways in which food can be made more equitable, more sustainable, and more future-proof—for everyone.

Diverse. Resilient. Learning.

Our action days thrive on different forms of action. Together, we oppose the logic of a food system based on exploitation—of people, animals, land, and the climate. In doing so, we try to create spaces where alternatives can be seen and experienced in practice.

We draw inspiration from various historical and current struggles and ideas. We know that Fair agriculture is not only necessary - it is possible. And we want to continue learning together what it can look like in practice.

Civil disobedience as an expression of our protest

Part of our actions is civil disobedience. We oppose infrastructure that prioritises profit over life. We specifically oppose this with our bodies, our voices and our creativity.

This can mean

- Demonstrations
- Blockages
- Take infrastructure out of operation even beyond our presence

We want all participants to be able to make conscious and well-informed decisions about their participation and form of action. To this end, we offer information, training and spaces for dialogue in the run-up to and at the camp.

Safety, mindfulness & solidarity

We don't want to be held back by structural or police obstacles - and we look for creative, well thought-out ways to do this. At the same time, it is important to us that we do not endanger people. Our actions are not directed against workers, but against the capitalist logic that affects them just as much as it affects us.

We practise acting mindfully and responsibly. We know that we can also make mistakes - and are prepared to learn from them.

Making what is possible accessible to all

We endeavour to organise our actions in such a way that many people can take part - regardless of previous experience, mobility or other prerequisites. Tasks around the camp are also part of the protest: they keep the space alive and enable participation at various levels.

Self-determined & collective

Each person should decide for themselves how they want to participate. We prepare together - with training, plenary sessions, legal information and dialogue.

During the activities, we look at ourselves and each other: How are we doing? Where are our boundaries? What do we need?

We will decide on the duration and form of blockades together on site, taking into account the situation and the people involved. Even after the actions, we want to process what happened together - and deal with repression in a spirit of solidarity.

Participation of groups

We are happy when (small) groups contribute to the action days with their own ideas and forms of action. If groups need support, individual Disrupt and Support structures will check whether and how they can help - depending on capacity and in close dialogue.

This also applies to groups that want to continue blockades beyond agreed times or locations - e.g. with technical means such as lock-ons. We want to keep an open dialogue and respectfully keep each other up to date.

Our self-image

We come from different political contexts and movements - and see ourselves as part of the climate justice movement. We do not see the social and ecological consequences of capitalism as a mistake that can be reformed, but as part of an exploitative logic. Within this framework, we try to combine struggles: against capitalism, against neo-colonialism, against oppression.

We realise that we also need to constantly develop as a movement. We see our struggles as part of a shared learning process. We want to show solidarity with everyone who is fighting for a fairer world.

In our camps and activities, we try out how living together can be organised differently: consensus-oriented, critical of hierarchy, in solidarity.

Against discrimination - keep moving

We want to create spaces in which people can move around safely and with as little discrimination as possible. Our political understanding is:

- anti-racist
- queerfeminist
- anti-ableist
- anti-fascist
- against anti-Semitism
- anti-capitalist
- antimilitaristic

We know that we as a movement and as individuals are not free from discrimination. That is why it is our aim to deal with it - in everyday life, in action and in the camp. This is a process that we want to shape together.

We try to support those affected - for example through safer spaces at the camp. Again, we don't have all the answers, but we want to listen, act and continue to learn.

Dealing with the police and structural racism

We take racism seriously - including in our own structures. This includes how we deal with the police. We know that white people are often more privileged to deal with repression than others. That is why it is important to us that white people in particular reflect on their behaviour - especially when it comes to contact with the police.

If it appears necessary to contact the police, we want to clarify together in the delegates' plenum why, with what goal and from what attitude it is happening.

Reference group

Into action in affinity groups - because together we are stronger!

In civil disobedience actions, it has proven to be a good idea to Fixed reference groups to form. Therefore, find three to seven other people to go into action with.

>> Reference group checklist (PDF) <<
Print out the list and go through all the points with your BG before you go into action together!

Why a reference group?

During the entire activity, you look after each other as a reference group (BG), discuss how far you want to go, how you feel and what you want to do. You decide within the group how long you want to stay in the activity and return to camp together if possible.

Do we have to stay together all the time?

Within the BG, you can divide into smaller units: Groups of two or three people, sometimes referred to as buddies, who always stay together. So, for example, if you are a group of 5 people, you can split up again into a team of 2 and a team of 3 buddies.
If something happens to one of you - injury, detention, etc. - the buddies are there for that person. The rest of the group can decide whether they want to stay or continue with the action. Once you arrive at the blockade point, you can reorganise yourselves within the group: Who stays here? Who wants to go somewhere else? Who wants to go back? It is important that one person is never travelling alone!

Who are the right people for my reference group?

BGs are often made up of people with a similar amount of action experience. But that is not necessary. It is much more important that you have similar ideas about the action and trust each other: How far do you want to go? How long do you want to stay? How will you behave towards the police, etc.?
The better you know each other, the easier it will be to make decisions and the more fun you will have during the action. So take the time to get to know each other and talk about possible scenarios!

How do I find the right reference group?

1. ask people you know: Who is travelling to Bremen for the campaign? Who has what ideas about the campaign? Maybe it fits in with yours!

2. attend an affinity group meeting at the camp!
On Thursday there will be the opportunity to meet people for affinity groups.

Legal support

During the campaign days there is a Investigation Committee (EA). You can call here at any time if you or others are having stress with the police or other authorities.
EA telephone number: 0049 (0)30 340 603 13
Important: Never talk on the phone about what you (or others) have done, but only about what you are accused of.

We recommend that you generate your personal EA number.
EA Number Generator
You can give this number to the EA on the phone instead of your name. This way, the EA can keep track of you and friends can use it to enquire about you. And you can then inform the EA that you are free again!

If you have any questions before the action or stress with the police, public prosecutor's office or court after the action, you can contact the EA / legal team by email: legalcare-disrupt25@systemli.org (PGP key on https://keys.openpgp.org/)
